Connection, compassion and hope are guiding principles Lauren works from. Lauren believes in the significance of the client-therapist relationship and that healing growth happens when people feel seen, heard, and deeply cared for in a safe therapeutic relationship. Lauren specializes in working with children, tweens/teens, and families struggling with behavioral issues/emotional regulation, anxiety, self-esteem, parenting challenges, and trauma/attachment concerns. Lauren comes alongside clients and families to make positive and lasting changes. Lauren's goal is to assist kids and teens in safely expressing and coping with their emotions, while developing self-awareness and self-acceptance in the process. Lauren supports you and your child/teen with skills and strategies in a warm, highly compassionate therapeutic relationship.
Lauren is committed to continual learning to provide the best therapeutic care that she can for her clients. Lauren has participated in over 150 hours of post-graduate training and is a Registered Play Therapist. Lauren utilizes evidence based practices, interpersonal neurobiology and play therapy to help children face difficulties with confidence and self-esteem. Lauren integrates compassionate and comprehensive parent/caregiver support into her treatment - as a parent/caregiver you are an important part of the therapeutic process. Lauren uses an integrated approach of ACT, CBT, mindfulness based stress reduction, self-compassion, trauma informed care, and strengths based techniques to help her teen clients reach their goals.
Lauren has experience counseling children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of treatment settings. Lauren attended Messiah College in Grantham, PA for her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Science and also completed her Master’s degree at Messiah College in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has experience as a therapist in outpatient clinical settings counseling adolescents and adults with mild to moderate mental health issues. Lauren also brings experience as a school-based therapist providing counseling services to elementary through high school students.
Lauren is in the office on Monday through Thursday.
