Connection, compassion and hope are guiding principles Lauren works from. Lauren believes in the significance of the client-therapist relationship and that healing growth happens when people feel seen, heard, and deeply cared for. Lauren specializes in working with children, tweens/teens, and families struggling with anxiety/OCD, behavioral difficulties, self-esteem issues, parenting challenges, attachment concerns, and ADHD. Lauren comes alongside clients and families to make positive and lasting changes.
Lauren is committed to continual learning to provide the best therapeutic care that she can for her clients. Lauren has participated in over 150 hours of post-graduate training in play therapy and is a Registered Play Therapist. She has received specialized training and supervision to strategically use play and expressive, creative therapeutic activities to address children and adolescent’s needs and behaviors. Lauren is also currently completing requirements to become a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional – Child & Adolescent (CCATP-CA).
Lauren focuses on building a strong therapeutic relationship where her clients can heal and grow. Using an integrated approach of CBT, ACT, mindfulness based stress reduction, self-compassion, and strengths based techniques Lauren helps each of her clients reach their goals.
Lauren has experience counseling children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of treatment settings. Lauren attended Messiah College in Grantham, PA for her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Science and also completed her Master’s degree at Messiah College in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has experience as a therapist in outpatient clinical settings counseling adolescents and adults with mild to moderate mental health issues. Lauren also brings experience as a school-based therapist providing counseling services to elementary through high school students.
Lauren is in the office on Monday through Thursday.
