Kristen is a LGPC working under the supervision of Whitney Thompson, LCPC. As a clinical therapist, Kristen creates a comfortable, supportive environment to promote open communication and a genuine connection. She is devoted to crafting a therapeutic process shaped to individual needs. Kristen aims to be flexible and inclusive by utilizing Integrative Therapy, applying an assortment of techniques from evidence-based treatments.
Kristen is passionate about working with concerns and disorders of trauma, stress, anxiety, mood, and adjustment. Her experience has spanned diverse cultural backgrounds and ranges of age, however, she exceeds in the treatment and counseling of teenagers, emerging adults, midlife adults, and older adults. Kristen understands those years of life are filled with moments of joy, challenges, changes, and new perspectives that can bring about variations of mental health obstacles.
Kristen is from West Virginia, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Wheeling Jesuit University. She extended her education at Loyola University Maryland and earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology. Kristen believes her learning and knowledge are important to being a successful therapist, so she strives to stay up to date on psychological developments. She also values self-care and promotes it for each client. Kristen maintains her self-care by reading, traveling, and quality time with her dog!
