Jaime is currently an LMSW working under the supervision of Whitney Thompson, LCPC. Jaime currently works for the Department of Social Services, and is excited to start in private practice part-time. She is passionate about providing a comfortable therapeutic environment in which children, adolescents, and adults where each is treated respectfully and with unconditional positive regard.
Jaime is a compassionate and active listener, working to empower each of her clients and bring self-awareness, as they are the agents in creating the change they want to see. Jaime finds the core of the helping process is successful when there is a strong therapeutic alliance. This can be maintained through ensuring a culturally competent, non-judgmental, empathetic therapeutic process, where each client’s individual needs are met with objectiveness and open communication.
Jaime studied social work at University of Maryland Baltimore County, where she received her undergraduate degree in Social Work. She then went on to obtain her master’s degree at the University Of Maryland School Of Social Work. Through her education, life experience, and career, Jaime takes a multi-disciplinary approach to mental health treatment.
Jaime is in the office on Tuesday evenings.
